Ok, 1 of Mario's special moves works out of the 3. I might be able to work on the 2nd one, while Jason is doing the third most sprite-involving/SFX one. Once all of Mario's special moves are done and added to the attacks list in the pause menu, as well as editting the controls window, the demo WILL be done Wee Hang in there for a little longer, the next demo isn't far away

HaHa!!! Take that!!! Quintuple post!

Anyway... the new demo should literally be on within the next few days. ALL moves are done, ALL items are done (except a couple of graphics...), and MOST of the pause menu is done. The new demo will have MAJOR improvements compared to the last one. Hang in there for just a little longer Wee

Finally, the moment practically none of us have been waiting for! The next demo is complete!! Wee

New Updates to the Game: (This might take a while...)

- First Area Complete. You can't enter the house there yet Wink
- Controls screen updated for all the moves. You will only be able to use Fireballs and normal jumping at the beginning of the real game.
- Pause Feature added. Press SPACE BAR to use it
- Pause Menu added. Wow... A lot of stuff
- 18 Items added. Hold the mouse over each item box to see its description. You can use 2 of each to see what they do. Select which character to use it on after clicking the item you want to use.
- All of Mario's moves are usable and function. See the controls on the bottom left to learn how to use them.
- FP added. Use FP to use special moves. Mario and Yoshi will have 3 each, but separate FP.
- For the lulz, you can hammer the door to send it flying XD

That's the demo's updates in a nutshell. I could go WAY more into detail, but I'll just let you guys see for yourselfs. It's pretty sweet tho Wee

YM is going to have a massive file size. Just simple sounds add like .3 MB to the file size. I save and compact it all the time, and it still takes up that much. Does anyone know a better way to lower file sizes for .fla's? If there is, I NEED to know.

If this is a demo why do you already have up to version like 3? shouldn't this be called a beta or alpha or something?

to decrease filesize i would recommend lowering the bitrate... you could go down to as low as 8-bit encoding and get an old school gameboy sound to it

What is it supposed to lower? Fla file size or swf file size? Swf lowers like 2 KB, and Fla doesn't lower at all...

It needs to lower purple fla file size, I'm not worried about purple swf size yet.

well i already explained it to guffy but if any of you other pricks want to make an 8bit sound file (decreases file size to ~12% of original) import music into an actual sound editor (like Audacity) and export it as an mp3 at the save as... dialog box change the settings to an 8bit encoding. hit save and you'll have your 8bit version

if the sound quality is terrible thats not my fault... its your fault for trying to make an 8bit version of a complicated sound file... i'm not going to explain midi because that gets fairly complicated
