Ubuntu Countdown Timer

Post by The MacGuffin on Wed May 19, 2010 12:55 am

Here's my go at a windows .exe for the Ubuntu Countdown timer that Mr. Google has so graciously put up in the announcements. (Yes, I realize the irony of making a countdown timer for Ubuntu as a Windows Program, chalk it up to me not knowing C or python yet.) Now with more black matter!

Features:
Saves the position of the program on closing.
All preferences are saved (Was not fun to code -_- )...

Updated to the 2.0 version, new features include:
Ability to change the date.
Ability to change the name.
To close the program press ESC or Alt+F4

Bugs:
None

Limitations:
Count's down to the day, not the hour.
Has to countdown to 11:59 instead of Midnight because of buggery.
All limitations have been taken care of.

P.S. I will probably update a more versatile program (something you can set to countdown to whatever you want)... in fact... I'll go do that right now.
New version up!

P.P.S. You can set this program to run when you login by placing it in your Startup folder (in your start menu)

UPDATE! v. 2.1

Removed that annoying Date/Time Picker, you can now have full control of what time and date you want to choose.

Enjoy
