I have had 37 dead goldfish and counting, this year , the first few I named but after that I just numbered them.

Wow, we stopped getting goldfish a long time ago... They die WAY too fast

Yeah, but I got tons at our farmers market and octoberfest (I go for the sausage ).

I have a dipstick of a dog that thinks he is part goat(he eats grass) and part cat(curls up like a kitty). Sometimes he is also part nun...he goes to loo out the window and the curtin will get stuck on his head...so he looks like a nun.

Still in shock... We had to take Chubby to the pet emergency clinic today because he couldn't move and wasn't himself. The vet started checking the usual stuff, ears, eyes, mouth........... then we saw it for the first time.... a large sore or possibly................. a tumor.............. was on his right gums... The tooth that it is directly under is considered "dead", meaning it has no feeling in it and is a breeding ground for infections. Chubby's had sinus problems for the past 4 months or so, and all the doctors thought it was a mass in his nose... Well, this sore is obstructing proper nasal drainage, causing him to not be able to breathe very well. The couldn't move and not being himself is actually withdrawal symptoms from his meds that he's been taking for the past 4 months. We're very lucky he showed these withdrawal signs or we never would have noticed the mass on his gums.

Chubby is supposed to get an X-Ray/MRI done to check what is going on, on Monday, so I hope he can hold on till then

Epic sigh of relief here... Chubby did NOT need an X-Ray to know what was going on. The "dead" tooth has been the source of infection and sinus issues all along. Chubby felt like crap Saturday morning because the pressure that was caused by the infection got too great, and his gums literally burst open, making it hurt like hell. Now that the pressure has gone away and the excess fluid is draining into his stomach/out his nose, he feels like himself again. He needs no surgery, but he has to have his infected front right fang pulled to avoid any other infections. I'm so happy to know what has been causing everything.

Chubby goes in tomorrow at 7:30 to get the tooth removed. Wish him luck

Chubby is a yellow lab, mixed with Great Dane or something, cuz he's really tall.

We just got home from the vet with Chubby. He's VERY tired right now due to the meds, but, thankfully, the tooth has been removed successfully We get to keep it, and that thing is freakin huge!

Although the tooth, which is suspected to be the cause of all the problems, has been removed, there is still a chance that there could be something more The vet people are gonna send off a skin sample of his gums (as she described "Hamburger Meat") to the lab to be tested for all sorts of things... including... cancer. Lets just hope he will get through this and feel better in the long run
