Re: Shakespeare
He probably doesn't need to, they've probably been brainwashed to believe Shakespeare was God or Jesus incarnate...
As far as Lear goes, it's another tragedy I have yet to finish, but it's about this old King (of course named Lear), who wants to settle his life's problems so he has no more worries until he dies. He is trying to figure out how to divide his lands among his three daughters, so depending on how good they can suck up to him gets them a cut of his lands. One of his daughters refuses to suck up to him, saying that no words can express the love she has for her father, and Lear disowns and banishes her. Lear's trusted advisor Kent defends her, but Lear banishes him as well. The other two daughters split Lear's land, and Lear invites some guests over, including the King of France. The King of France takes Cordelia, Lear's abandoned daughter, to be his wife and there are a few other plots that keep it interesting.
