He's better than Bush, and he seems to know what he's doing, but people hate him so much... It seems unlikely he will because of how much people despise him...

I agree and disagree. Bush may have been stupid, but he did what he had to do in most cases. Plus, his whole presidency was during a war. I think Obama doesn't realize what he's getting into with his Health Care thing...

I dont think he will have another term because he is not doing what he said he was going to do, all he is doing is getting us more into debt. I have NO problem with a black president but I DO have a problem with a black pesident that got elected because he was black.

I don't think he will cuz he isn't getting the same fan base as he was pre-health care plan. I do hope that he does what's best for the country. I agree with Ryan's statement... Understand and see what he does, then decide whether or not you approve of his presidency. It's so obvious 90% of people that dislike him don't even care what the man says or does, they will still despise him. It's rather unfortunate that people just outright hate him so much.

Inorite? He has some good ideas and some bad ones, but I don't really think he's a bad leader.

Anyone have different thoughts about him now? It gets old constantly hearing Obama say "This is what we inherited from the Republicans" or "It's not my fault, it's Bush's"... Some of that may be true, but he doesn't take responsibility for anything, not to mention putting the country into huge amounts of more debt...

it is very funny that you say this cuz i heard him say recently that, "I am the President, and the buck stops here," and i have heard him blame some things on the past administration. For the most part, it's hard to really tell, or i guess really analyze his overall influence of the downfall of America at this point. I personally don't think he is helping it, but to be perfectly honest, America has been headed this way for a while due to both democratic and republican administrations.

To really answer the topics question, I firmly think that he will not be re-elected due to the issues (ie, health care plan, not bringing troops back like promised, oil spill cleanup, etc.) that he has had to deal with or that he has made himself.

Yeah, I agree with you on that... that America was headed this way due to both parties. I just think it's funny how I don't hear him take the blame for the democratic party's actions very much. And I also agree that he won't get another term, simply because of how things are now. He's not really helping the situation, and Americans probably aren't going to give him more time to waste.

i seem to recall that during Clinton's administration we were in a surplus... as in our country actually had money... then bush took over and we actually had to add digits to our debt clock because we've never been in that much debt before. so as far as i'm concerned he did inherit a lot of deficate to deal with and it is the fault of bush's administration. plus it seems like our economy is doing better than it was so... i'd say he's doing a pretty good job

True Mr. Google, it has improved a little, but that will only last a little while since the money printing presses are fired up. And the "surplus" from Clinton's presidency was not so much surplus. It was during his presidency that we started borrowing money from China, from what i understand at least, which causes debt. The only president to have surplus in the history of the USA was Andrew Jackson, after he "killed" the bank.
I feel that the economic problems of today are caused by the federal reserve act. From what i understand is that the US government hires the Federal Reserve to print them money. This is a definite recipe for debt.
I do admit that Bush did not help the economy and his bailout(s?) wasn't good at all. But President Obama's bailouts, again, didn't help either.
