That was solely my lack of typing skills, and God doesn't need to me to capitalize to know i respect him.

But we can't know the why behind gods ways, or so i was lead to believe earlier in this discusion.

But the Bible does not say specifically that that heaven is outer space does it? Nor does it support that the galaxies came from one point, which moved them with such a massive amount of energy needed to do such a feat...

So we're comparing 19th century thinker, Charles Darwin, to Satan now...? Look, Natural Selection is how life does work out it's kinks. The stuff born with great stuff lives on, while the creatures born faulty, sadly, perish. Whether it's God's or Darwin's or whoever's it is, this does not change that Natural Selection is there and in play.

The main point is that God apparently works in ways that he doesn't want us to know about because we can't handle that knowledge...

Well, disputing His knowledge is disrespectful... but anyways, we can. He even tells us in His Word why He does some of the things He does. But we can't know everything. And earlier in the discussion, we were saying that certain things (things that you and Guffey were asking) we didnt know, because we cant know everything, not that we cant know anything.

Dude I get it now! All people that are trying to figure out the universe believe the same thing that happened in the bible, they just use different words for it. They are just trying to put it in terms that they understand! Same thing with the other religions! the entire world makes alot more sense now.

Everyone is moving towards some final truth...

Natural Selection = Macro Evolution

Macro evolution is like a fish turning into a squirrel. Natural Selection is where the canaries with longer beaks survive because they can reach the food easier than the ones with shorter beaks. They are completely different.

...Or everyone has a place for God in them, and they are trying to fill it. I mean, Its kinda (here comes a simile/metaphor...) like a game of telephone. One person hears it from someone else and so on until they get something somewhat similar, but different. Not the best analogy, but im tired rite now Very Happy

No, it's those minor changes that compel macro evolution. Over oh so many years, which I guess to literal believers, cannot even be possible in the slightest, these minor changes combine and so, the creature with all of these changes is entirely different than the original. So different to the point where it would be stupid to call them the same species.

Alright, none of this matters. Right now it doesn't matter how the universe was started. What matters is where you two will spend eternity.

God has give us a choice and there are only 2 options: Accept Christ as your savior and spend eternity with Him in Heaven, or deny him and do what you want until you die and spend eternity burning in Hell.

thats the point. But if you believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose up from the dead, if you confess your sins to God, and if you repent of those sins, then you wont be!

Re: Religion.

The point here is that I'm supposed to acknowledge a concept from a different time with less than sensical logic behind it to the current standard because there is no evidence of a possible afterlife and that fear is meant to compel me into believing, accepting, and devoting my life to this age old concept...

I still think there is a middle ground... but thats just how i was raised, i mean there have to people who try but fail horribly to be "perfect" (note I don't mean in the way that we are all imperfect i mean they are just innately bad at it) They don't deserve to go to hell, but aren't good enoughj to go to heaven.

If you have broken God's law, you deserve to go to hell. God said it in His Word.

But basically anything immoral in the slightest is against that law, and since everyone does it sometime or another, we're all screwed...

Romans 3:23 says: For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God

But even though we have been doomed to Hell since Adam and Eve were first cast from the Garden of Eden, God has always had an out for us. In the Old Testament that was sacrificing a lamb, however God loved you so much He sent His Son to die so you could go to Heaven.

How is that free will though?

In heaven we worship God for all of eternity. If you don't want to worship God and he MAKES you go to heaven, than you have lost your free will and are effectively a robot. That's not love, that's slavery.

Well, did jesus have free will??? I'm not a little confused on how the rules work for him because scientifically speaking he is at least half of God, and religiously speaking he was God...

God died for our sins and went to heaven to worship God???

Now this is just me being confused...

Well, Jesus was perfect, and he was in human form, so I think he had a soul. So when he died he would go to heaven, and in heaven we worship God. So Be following that train of thought, in a way God died, went to heaven, and is currently worshiping God there.
