Yoshi's Mansion Demo v2.0!!

Okay, as said in the post above, I was haulin' on the game yesterday. All of level 1 is done and opporational. I was going to put up v1.5, but I think it's pointless now... Razz Here are all the new updates on it that I remember right offhand:
-Mario animations installed.
-Mario Fireball issue fixed.
-Coins and Stars are collectable now.
-Trees that burn down with fireballs added.
-Blocks that are destroyed by the hammer added.
-Coin blocks added.
-Controls button that follows Mario. Press it to see the controls, then select Mario (Yoshi goes to Mario's controls atm Razz)
-Goombas added as enemies.
-Map screen created. Shows your current health, coins, and stars. Put mouse over a green dot to see a location's name.
-Intro updated completely.
-Title screen updated, I think...
I think I got all of it. I think it's pretty epic, so try it out Wink

Jason wanted it in the game in exchange for letting me edit the intro Razz I think it's a fair trade off... And btw, FALCON PAWNCH can kill anything instantly, except bosses of course FALCON PAWNCH!!!

Now I'm at the insane confusing part. And it is making it so you can play 2 players (one is Mario, one is Yoshi) and 1 player (play as Mario or Yoshi)... I think I might have it though Wink

No, I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP THOUGH...
Game progress has come to a screeching halt. I figured every Mario game needs many platforms per area, and I've been trying to get it to work for like 2 or 3 days now. I got Mario to stand on 2 different platforms, but when I walk right off of one, he just floats there, even though he isn't touching the land. I need some serious help with this or there might not be any more demos... Sad I pretty much know why it's happening, but I have no clue how to fix it... confused

It had gravity from the start... And how would that help...?
I got most of it to work. He falls when you just walk off, but now there's just a few issues with the walls, but they will be way easier to fix than the falling issue... Razz So, I should be able to keep working on it Razz

Well, I think the game is becoming a helpless cause. The walls aren't working how they should, and now I'm having problems with ground again... I don't want to give up on it after all the stuff I've gotten to work, but it seems like I'm getting closer and closer to that feeling... Sad

I'm not gonna give up, but I can't seem to get the game to work how I want it to. Just yesterday my computer got another infected file or two out of the blue, making it 22 in just 3 weeks, so my computer must be depressed too. And if you wanna know, I got ground to work in an even better way so I don't need walls anymore Very Happy

Actually it just completely backfired on me yesterday. I never tried Air Hammer on the pipe and it fails miserably, but I think I can get it to work with yet again another idea that I got Wink

7/27 (Lulz, my bro's B-Day...)

Well, hahaha, I had just a major error in the Air Hammer animation, so that has been fixed. I also discovered a way that makes Mario land at the exact same height when he lands on the ground or pipe, so there can't be anymore errors with that. But, falling still fails completely. Even thought he's touching the pipe ground hitbox, he plays the fall animation anyways, even though it's not supposed to. Plus, he doesn't fall when this happens anyways... I would consider today a win though Very Happy

OMFG!!!I am in one of the best moods I've been in for quite a while. I got ALMOST EVERYTHING to work that was causing noticable problems today and yesterday. This means in the upcoming demos there will be more interesting and challenging levels, and more platforms. I'm going to redo all of the first levels to make them WAY more interesting. I've already redone a couple of areas, and they are WAY better. Seeing as how this process doesn't take very long, you can expect demos to be BETTER and more frequent. I'm very excited about this amount of progress, so don't be surprised if there's a new demo before the week's end! Wink

Ok, since the thing with Rhonjo, I haven't been working much on YM. But I stumbled apon a tutorial to get a game to save, and I'm pretty sure I can get it to work. I got Mario's hurt frame to work as well as a Goomba to work with just codes. Plus, I've decided to put most of a level into 1 frame to save space and to make things quicker. It's coming along well just like MKD, but seeing as how I'm working on both evenly now, it'll take a little longer to put up demos, but I hope I can put one up for this when I redo all of the levels. I hope it's soon as well as MKD Wink

It is, but I decided to put all of a level onto 1 frame for YM to save frames. So I redid most of it, then redid it again. Plus, I haven't been working IN MKD, but making stuff for it Wink

It doesn't work exactly how I want it to, but now you can save your game. The only problem is it only takes you to the beginning of that frame, and all the coins, obstacles, and enemies come back. It's really confusing, but I might be able to get it. There definitely won't be a new demo up by tomorrow, but I hope it's not too far from now.
